Are we killing the kid inside us as we get older?!

Once there was a young girl who was always into doing something erratic. She decided to fly a plane at 10. She decided to be a doctor and then fly a dummy plane at 13. At 16 she wanted to be a film star and now, at 19 let us ask her what she wants to be…’ahem…..you do not understand what I am talking about? Me neither…I was simply bored so I decided to blog about something.

By the way I was not talking about myself... I guess that was not so obvious! I find today absolutely bereft of any fun in spite of the fact that my semester holidays have begun. There is no enthusiasm. I remember we used to look forward to summer vacations in high school. Now it isn’t the same. Wonder why? Is it because when we start getting older we kill the kid inside us? Do we accumulate too many things to do in our minds? Have we corrupted our minds with unnecessary things? These are some of the world’s most ‘unanswerable’ questions. But I think I have the answer. It is because as older people we are expected to behave in a certain way and any person who does not qualify is stamped as a ‘nerd’ or a ‘fool’…bloody hypocrites. But today I wish to tell you to simply ignore them and move on! You want to eat that lolly pop? Go ahead eat it. You want to wear a brightly colored tee? Wear it even if the rainbows come down. Live life for yourself and be true to what you do!

Keep visiting my blog often…
