Finance

I am doing my Part time MBA and specializing in Finance. Though I have heard many Finance jargons before I joined a B School, I got a clear understanding of the terms only after I was taught these in the classroom. Trust me, its fun. I think Finance is a very interesting subject. Since I am in a mood to discuss Finance, let me use the opportunity to explain a few terminologies in this post. Have you heard of Certificate of Deposit? People call it as cds. I think most of you are are aware of Fixed Deposits. CD is similar to FDs and Savings Accounts. In a CD, you will have to deposit a fixed amount of money for a fixed period of time in a bank or financial institution. Though it is not risk free, there is very little risk involved in this kind of investment. It is a safe haven for those of you who are sceptical about investing in equities or bonds. The returns on CDs are reasonably high and sufficient for middle income group. If you are still not clear about what CDs are, you can just search it on the internet. Wikipedia clearly explains what a CD is.
